Just got my full frame M9. Not much bigger than D-Lux4/LX3.

Here with a 40mm Nokton.

Interesting combo indeed. How would you rate the CL's focus accuracy at f/1.4?

Rather poor. I actually got it to use exclusively with the 15mm Heliar.

M-body for 350 euro with everything in great working shape (including the lightmeter) is not bad for me.

Pictures in the collectors/historica section at " CL&M6 duo".

Ever tried the CL with the Summicron-C 40/2? Great lens indeed. Still one of my favourites with the R-D1. FWIW.

No, never had that one. Does it focus ok with CL at 2?

I settled my RD1 with Hexanon 60mm/1.2. Fantastic portrait combo.

So pretty much my fixed lens outfits are now:

M6-nokton 40, CL-heliar 15, RD1- hexanon 60/1.2, M8-summilux 35/elmarit 21,

MP-ultron 28/1.9.

I think I am ready to retire.

I don't know why people say yawn - I find 'First moggy pictures with my M8' more boring than this lovely combo.

Having not used my (bought new) M7 for about seven or eight months I sold it a few weeks ago (at a very considerable loss) - which I now consider one of the most stupid things I ever did. I had ridiculous notion that it was a travesty to have a film camera sitting unused, and that someone else should make use of it. (Naturally I shortly after saw it being offered for sale at almost double the price - more fool me).

Now I'm going to start looking for a chrome M6 - I'd love to give the Noctilux back all of it's lovely vignetting!

Congrats on the camera!

I can't fit those cylindrical memory sticks into my card reader...:o:D

They are memosensors actually...

Remember the idea of an insertable electronic memosensor the shape of a partly unrolled film? Some company actually produced them, can't remember any specs though.

With today's technology it would be neat to have this offered again, say 10 MPix and 16GB capacity "roll" to insert into any film camera.

Doesn't the 15 CV Heliar extend rearwards a lot? You can't stop the meter arm coming up into position when you wind on, unlike in the M5.

John

Out of curiosity I measured the distances (+/- 1mm) and the Heliar sinks into the body by 11mm from the adapter flange in "infinity" position (most extended). It clears the meter arm by 6mm.
