louloumum Posted May 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Copenhagen Zoo by Sir Norman Foster An absolutely magnificent building IMHO - but almost impossible to get a justifying shot from the outside without a crane - hence only interior images ! D-Lux 4 Thanks for looking !
stuny Posted May 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2009 Marie-Louise - Excellent shots (especially the composition of #1), but I find them disturbing -- The wrong place for these wonderful beasts.

Excellent M-L, and I too agree with Stuart. I have been unable to visit zoos for decades.
soleforeal Posted May 29, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2009 Beautiful tones and detail. Did you shoot color with conversion or BW setting?
epand56 Posted May 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 29, 2009 Marie-Louise, the camera in your hands is a lethal weapon... These are going straight to my heart. What a brilliant and beautiful pictures. I can't even choose which one I prefer.
jaapv Posted May 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted May 29, 2009 Great images. I join the club of not visiting zoos, but we must not forget the part they play in preserving endangered species. Not that these domestic Indian Elephants are endangered...

louloumum Posted May 29, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted May 29, 2009 (edited) Stuart, Virgil, Soleforeal, Enrico, Jaapv and Paul Thank you all very much for sharing your righteous thoughts on the subjects of these images....! I'm truly pleased that you all understood the subtle mission although it was dressed up in Architecture....it goes to show that images usually are more powerful than words. (However, I must add that these surroundings are in fact a huge improvement compared to the indignity that used to be...) @Soleforeal: These are all shot in the Dynamic B&W mode. elansprint72 Posted May 29, 2009 Share #9 Posted May 29, 2009 Since the invention of the motion-picture camera there has been no excuse for creating animal prisons.
