stuny Posted May 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) 237 Park Avenue (between 45th and 46th Streets) has a stunning atrium. I was shooting some of the National Sculpture Society (NSS) exhibits there when I looked up and caught a fast shot. A guard, who was tolerating my shooting the sculpture told me I could not take photos of the interior. Drat! I would have liked to have gotten many more photos. He then told me that I needed permission to shoot the sculpture and sent me to the NSS office to seek approval. A warm, lovely, petite blonde woman granted me permission and accompanied me to the guard to tell him so. Too bad she couldn’t give permission for photos of the interior. If you visit the atrium, do so during the week. They keep it closed to visitors on the weekend. I’ll post some of the sculpture soon, but if you’re anxious to see some, go to the New York photo gallery on our site and jump to the 55th page (yes, there are nearly 1200 NYC photos on our site). Marquinius Posted May 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 27, 2009 Stuart, That's indeed a stunning atrium. Now if someone would let you take a tripod, an M8 and some lenses, I think someone could have serious fun Marco
