michali Posted May 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) M8.2 & 75mm Summicron I'm not a big fan of F1 but when a friend invited me on his yacht to sail to Monaco on Sunday and onto Rome I couldn't resist. Off to the Champion's League final in Rome today Manchester United - Barcelona, should be a great game! Thanks for viewing.

stuny Posted May 27, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 27, 2009 Mike - Didn't they give him a map to the course? In #3 did the injured car's lover rush over and wait in fearful anticipation? Excellent series for moment, light, color, detail and vantage point.
J_Thompson Posted May 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 27, 2009 The first photograph is outstanding as broken parts are still flying around... nice timing! You were fortunate to have been there. Hope you enjoyed the race, too.
michali Posted May 31, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted May 31, 2009 Virgil & John- Thank you for your comments much appreciated. Mike - Didn't they give him a map to the course? In #3 did the injured car's lover rush over and wait in fearful anticipation? Excellent series for moment, light, color, detail and vantage point. Stuart- Thank you as always. I think his map flew out the car as he took off at the start. How did you know? Yes his girlfriend rushed over and mopped his brow with a white handkerchief as he sat trapped in his car.................
marknorton Posted June 1, 2009 Share #6 Posted June 1, 2009 Judging from the change of colour in the road surface, the M8.2 is not covering itself in glory in setting white balance...

Michael-IIIf Posted June 4, 2009 Share #9 Posted June 4, 2009 The first photograph is outstanding as broken parts are still flying around... nice timing! You were fortunate to have been there. Hope you enjoyed the race, too. Totally. Not only are parts still flying around but look at Vettel's head touching the wheel despite the extremely tight seat belts used. Yes, that's the decisive moment.
digbyhp Posted June 5, 2009 Share #10 Posted June 5, 2009 What a lucky position to capture such a nano-second shot ! I'm another F1 fan and I bet there are many professionals that would've given their eye-teeth for this pic.
