earleygallery Posted May 18, 2009 Share #23 Posted May 18, 2009 Why don't we all go, as a Forum Field Trip? That's a great idea! Invite us all and you will have as much choice of style as you could wish for! It's been a while since I've shot a wedding, and I always used my Bronica for such work, but I'm in S London and free on the date.........

stunsworth Posted May 18, 2009 Share #25 Posted May 18, 2009 Can I just mention that I'm the person on the forum who _isn't_ a wedding photographer. I'd like to think there's another, but after following this thread I'm not too sure.

I'd like to think there's another, but after following this thread I'm not too sure. Well, I just noticed this thread is in the M8 forum. I'm not an M8 photographer so I should slip out quietly before anyone notices. The customer should insist on a white M8!!

afineman Posted May 18, 2009 Share #33 Posted May 18, 2009 Dubois, I am based in NYC but I frequently travel for weddings and I think my style might be along the lines of what you are looking for as well. You can judge for yourself www.weddingsbyaaron.com And for what it's worth, my travel rates are reasonable. If you also want to see what I shoot when I am not shooting weddings Aaron Lee Fineman Photography - New York City

Aldophoto Posted May 19, 2009 Share #35 Posted May 19, 2009 OK, it could be a little off-topic. Besides, have a look down here, please, and tell me something: this is the last wedding I shot - not all of them with my M8, of course. rdubois Posted May 20, 2009 Author Share #36 Posted May 20, 2009 I'm overwhelmed by the response. Thank you. We've looked at most of the galleries presented and I and more importantly my daughter have identified a couple of photographers who would very well meet our requirements. We are now in negotiation with them and will make a choice over the next couple of weeks. Due to the numbers of offers I'm not going to be able to respond to each and everyone but please accept my thanks and appreciation for your public and private messages. Gentleman Villain Posted May 20, 2009 Share #37 Posted May 20, 2009 To the OP You've got excellent taste to be searching for a Leica equipped wedding photographer. My background is commercial photography and folks in my line of work don't usually have much respect for wedding shooters...HOwever, I'll make an exception when it comes to a few Leica shooters in this forum....They do excellent work and it has a lot to do with their classic reportage type of approach towards event coverage. Leica produces a very clean and timeless image free of the gimmicks that plague so many other DSLR type shooters in the wedding industry. Anyways....just wanted to emphasize....the OP is displaying some excellent taste in searchng specifically for a Leica equipped photographer
Fotomiguel Posted May 21, 2009 Share #38 Posted May 21, 2009 Nice thread! Some of the wedding´s galleries I´ve already visited them. Others are new for me. A good wedding photographer is a professional who owns skills, technique and talent. If you add a M8, you have a terrific combination. I enjoy so much some of the webs. I try to guess how the photos were shot and learnt a little bit. Many of them in low light and taking the most of the beautiful natural light, in a combination of the precise moment. And after a elegant edition. I would love to observe you working. Kind Regards Miguel
noah_addis Posted July 18, 2009 Share #39 Posted July 18, 2009 I'm sure it's too late for this thread, but I'm officially shooting weddings now.
