David, David, Mauro, Louis, Jean-Luc, Stuart, Ivan & Michael- Thanks for taking the time to comment it's always appreciated.

The sun had just set, I was sitting in the Land Rover looking at something else and he suddenly popped up out of the grass 8 or 9 meters in front of me. I knew he was around because I had heard him "coughing".

Missouri, Martin, George and Virgil- As always your comments and feedback are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Also for me the BW is the preferred : outstanding effect of cat "sproutimg" from the grass; and nice to see a venerable Hektor used so finely.

Luigi- Thank you, this is my 3rd or 4th shot with the 125mm Hektor which I got about 2 weeks ago.

Mike, glad you escaped. He doesn't look all that interested in company, except if he had you for lunch.

Ben- Thank you. You're absolutely right.

Leopards are my favorite animal to photograph in the wild, along with elephants.

I love these cats, solitary, elusive, very smart, unpredictable and moody. You will only see a leopard if it wants you to see it.
