Early this morning I made a point of detouring past the Ferrari showroom to see the California Roadster with its bonnet closed. When I got there it's folding hardtop was also closed. Below you'll see both the new roadster and the original, a beautifully restored 1958 that I posted here about a year ago.

Stuart --

Cannot decide between the two examples but am leaning towards the original California Spider. Especially love the sound (both from the valve train and the exhaust)of those three-liter Columbo V-12s! Thanks for sharing.

George - thank you. Tough choice, but Barbara says it's okay to get the new one for her for her birthday. That would be nice.

John - Thank you. I see your point, but I also like the performance and civility of the new one. Of course the old one has a value of many of the new ones combined. BTW: During this era the number in the model designation revealed the displacement of one cylinder. Multiply that by 12 and you get the Colombo 3.0.

Pete - There are so may Ferraris that excite me, not the least of which is the Lusso you posted here not long ago.

Virgil -

Thank you. We think their candy apple type red with tan interior would be perfect. Do I sense a replacement or brother for your 360?

My 360 is an only child, and will remain so...;)
