jaapv Posted April 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some of you may recall the Great Crested Grebe on the nest I published a short while back. Sadly that nest was disturbed, as I found it empty one morning. I suspect one of the large Gulls we have around here for stealing the eggs. Today a couple of Coots moved in. I had seen them eyeing vacant the property for some days, and today they had not only moved in, but the male was adjusting the nest and offering the female some new furnishing. It is interesting, as I never saw Coots using an existing nest of another species before.
