Guest menze_as Posted July 4, 2006 Share #13 Posted July 4, 2006 Hi Gérald, real street life, as I like it. "Nothing happens", and yet much happens. The graphic design has turned out well too. Regards, Astrid
Gerard K Posted July 4, 2006 Share #14 Posted July 4, 2006 Gerald, Seinfeld- "The show about nothing". A picture about nothing but like the sitcom Seinfeld, it has everything- all the elements fall into their rightful place in the composition. The bus trundling by on the left, the person on crutches ambling along and the featured subject lost in his own world draped by the models hair. If they can make a comedy about nothing, we too can make a picture from nothing as you have demonstrated Gerald. Gerard.
tuna Posted July 4, 2006 Share #15 Posted July 4, 2006 As he blends in and through the image, we see the different worlds on both sides of him - each with it's own stories of reflection. All beautifully composed into thirds for our enjoyment. Tuna
gverdon Posted July 5, 2006 Author Share #16 Posted July 5, 2006 Thank you everyone for your comments. As some of you already know, I like to play with the street's adverts as they are an important part of our urban's landscapes... I see a lot of involontary irony in these messages once they are in a "real" context... Gérald
jotam Posted July 23, 2006 Share #17 Posted July 23, 2006 I know her! :-) Much has been said about this «photograph of nothing». I couldn't add anything better. One with Gérald's brand for sure… José
