michali Posted April 2, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted April 2, 2009 how old he is? great angle Mike with pleasing colour david David- Thank you Rocky's about 9 years old. I got him when he was 8 months old from the Animal Anti-Cruelty League. They had confiscated him from some people who were breeding dogs for dog fighting. Absolutely disgusting and despicable people! Stuart, Virgil & Martin- Thank you. He's a real character, wonderful nature and great sense of humour, despite his rough start in life.

I understand that there is a difference in image quality between the two versions (one earlier and the other later). Is that true? Regards.
michali Posted October 25, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted October 25, 2009 Hi, first of all beautiful pics ! May I ask if your lens is the chrome or black version? I understand that there is a difference in image quality between the two versions (one earlier and the other later). Is that true? Regards. I was busy looking for these pics to post on the Visoflex thread over in the M8 forum, and I see you beat me to it. Thank you for your comments. My version is a mint 1962 Black made in Germany. As far as I know the chrome versions were made in Canada, this could account for differences in the way the lenses render, not necessarily image quality. I've repeatedly heard and read that there is no difference in optical quality between the German and Canadian made Leitz lenses.

Good for you. you saved him from a terrible life and gave him a great home. I agree with you about those breeders. I have even more violent opinions of them. fotografr Posted October 26, 2009 Share #13 Posted October 26, 2009 My guess is that not only is he your best friend, but that you are his as well. I'm glad you were able to save him from a horrible existance. People who participate in dog fighting are the lowest scum on the human ladder. In my opinion, it would be fitting to put those people into the pits with a couple of the dogs they trained. A few years ago, someone posted a couple of shots taken in a cock fighting ring and they got unmerciful grief for it. It's appalling that some people think of this as entertainment. I'd put bull fighting in the same category. That stuff just defies understanding.
maurometallo Posted October 26, 2009 Share #14 Posted October 26, 2009 Hi Mike, I believe I saw him some other time, although long ago... However I like this photos very much: Rocky is very cool and he is presented very well in both images. Give him a treat for me! P.S. You can have one too, if you like it! michali Posted October 26, 2009 Author Share #15 Posted October 26, 2009 Paul, Brent & Mauro- Thank you for taking the time to comment. Brent I fully share your feelings. I rate people who exploit helpless animals for their own self serving purposes, in the same category as pedophiles.
