fotografr Posted October 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry, no photo. Just a question. What determines, "hot thread?" I'm wondering because I see threads here with between 150 and 300 views and only 3 or 4 replies that are shown as "hot threads." So I'm wondering what the criteria are. abrewer Posted October 26, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2006 Hi Brent. AFAIK, it's views that makes the thread hot...hits, not replies. Thanks. Allan
LUF Admin Posted October 26, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2006 It's exactly 150 hits that make a thread "hot". Regards Andreas
fotografr Posted October 26, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted October 26, 2006 Thank you for clearing that up for me. Somehow, it seems backwards. All one has to do is put a catchy title on their post and they have a "hot thread." For example, can you imagine how fast something like "Nude Babes Sunbathing" would climb to 150 views? I would think a hot thread should be defined by the number of replies, not the number of looks. Just my 2 cents. BTW, what's "AFAIK?" Surely a 'hot' thread should reflect the level of interest and comment on a picture. Brent is right; a cunning title may not be linked to a stimulating picture.
