A little ...13

Olaf,

I confirm that the IIc fits perfectly into the Leitz New York case I illustrated in this thread, (both are small thread).

I check, I think all, the code words reference books I have in hand, including a Leitz NY catalog and I do not find the HUMP code.

Usually they are 5 letter code, this one is 4 letter.

But I have heard or red this name.

Can you remember me where did you find this reference, please ?

Hello JC and all the others,

Olaf,

I confirm that the IIc fits perfectly into the Leitz New York case I illustrated in this thread, (both are small thread).

also the IIIc?

I got the name from here (starting at #11):

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-sammler-historica/78887-spezielle-bereitschaftstasche-f-r-iiif-mit.html

I thought 4 letters would be maybe a NY thing ;).

There is another thread concerning this case (starting at # 30):

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-sammler-historica/71035-tipps-zu-iiif-objektiv-gesucht-beli-2.html

there are two cases available at Rahn, Frankfurt with wrong codes I suspect:

http://www.foto-hobby.de/fhr-d/leica-occasiongelegenheiten-zubehoer/leica-taschenriemen/leica-bereitschaftstasche.htm

and

Leica Bereitschaftstasche mit aufges. Universalsucher - Foto Hobby Rahn GmbH

EFGOO and EFOOD are the names for the german version, right!?

what we can see here:

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/826121-post17.html

So, it may be HUMP, or does anybody know a different code word?

yours OLAF

"Hump" seems to have the same orthograph and meaning in English and German and this is just a nickname due to the shape of this ever ready case, not a code word at all.

It fits the IIIc also but you need to use the reduction screw on the base plate. (at least on mine)

EFGOO & EFOOD are German code

in the NY catalog the equivalent are 14525/ENTAR & 14527/ETRNA
