Advertisement Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Hi arthury, Take a look here Rugby Season : kickin and throwin and tacklin .... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
topoxforddoc Posted February 22, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 22, 2009 Arthury, Hope you enjoyed the game. It's just the best team game in the world. 15 guys (or girls nowadays) on for 80 minutes - no oxygen, no offense/defense/special teams. Play doesn't stop until there's an infringement. The camaraderie after the game is great too. As a retired front row player (hooker), you tried to stuff the opposing players for 80 minutes and then had a few beers and sing-song with them - you make many friends in rugby (and most of them aren't even on your team). Good action shots too. Best wishes, Charlie
MPerson Posted February 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 22, 2009 I like #2, the No 15 is looking down to pick his moment and avoid the boots. I have always failed miserably at trying to catch the action. Charlie as a retired No 9, I think I should point out we don't need to kiss & hug everytime we score and we have the best songs! arthury Posted February 22, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted February 22, 2009 Thanks, Charlie and MPerson. Yes, I agree, it's quite tricky shooting action shot with a manual focus lens. It's a good thing that the M8 has a Continuous Shutter Release feature which helps even though the frame rates is not that high.
