andit Posted February 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2009 Hi there Todd, Lovely still life image. Great composition and excellent tonal range (not to mention clarity). You have taken an ordinary object and captured it in a way that gives the object a lot of feeling. Thanks for sharing. Andreas
tollie Posted February 11, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted February 11, 2009 Andreas many thanks. When I took the shot I was concentrating on composition... from a perspective below the geometries seemed fantastic. I put the images I shot that day aside and came back to them a couple of weeks later. On the computer I saw the tonal range and made the conversion... pushing the range a bit... especially the sky. I like railroads... not sure why.
vdb Posted February 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 11, 2009 I completely agree with Andreas. Well done.
stuny Posted February 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 19, 2009 Todd - I agree with Andreas, too, and add that the tilt adds to the impact.
samwells Posted February 19, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 19, 2009 Todd: Also agree with Andreas (and Stuart)...the angle gives the image a great deal of industrial power, and the tight crop gives it a semi-abstract effect...very nice! cheers: Sam
