Thank you Gaal,

I have a lot of family in Barcelona, Baca Catalonia! O'Callaghans in Barcelona you ask? Yep for three hundred years or so. Anyway please name this restored hotel, the lobby of which is pictured, and please name where it is.

Adli,

It is not the Waldorf Astoria, but somewhere West of that hotel.

Sander,

A good question. I don't know the answer, nor do I have an external shot, nor would it help much if I did. Well, a pano might have have helped.

Moderator,

If this indoor shot is inappropriate, I will withdraw.

If there are any clues in the picture, apart from the "A", here they are:

electric old fashioned fan, as seen in the mirror hence hot summers, and early colonized area,

chimney hence cold winters,

aquatic bird on the mantelpiece hence lake or sea nearby,

quartz vein sections, or geodes hence mining not too far,

leather furniture, hence cattle nearby,

we thus must be in the deep south like Atlanta Georgia with a capital A, or further west Austin Texas or Albuquerque New Mexico,

or somewhere else.

Is this hotel in the States?

Geaibleau,

I am impressed by your deductions, but like Richard Sher "Great Guess, but not correct". It is in the US.

Michael,

Not the Alameda, but by the Pacific, sort of.

If you were to drink of the waters you could chase the blues.

Gaal,

You got it in one. It is a lovely small town with one of the oldest Shakespeare festivals in the US. Alongside the Elizabethan Outdoor Theater is Lithia Park. So named because the Lithia River runs through it. There is a public area where two main streets meet that have a public fountain where you can drink the waters from the river, which is named for the chemical Lithium that it contains. Lithium is used to treat depression, hence the hint.

Your turn now.

Gary, thank you, for me the hint was Shakespeare festival right there rather than Mac Beth's famous sentence.

Anyway lets travel a bit, this should be very easy for some of you
