Saloti Posted January 4, 2009 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 4, 2009 I am not very crazy about it neither, it is a template offered in the Efix PP software.

Marquinius Posted January 4, 2009 Share #6 Â Posted January 4, 2009 Lothar, Â We've had a discussion about frames sometime ago that you might find interesting: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-post-processing-forum/66041-presentation-web-frames-borders.html. Made me open my eyes and simplify. Â I recognize the added value of some kind of frame, but it must never attract attention away from the photo. Â Btw: it IS rather a lovely old fashioned picture and I know the way Silver Efex adds to that! Â Marco

andit Posted January 5, 2009 Share #8 Â Posted January 5, 2009 Hi Lothar, Â I think this is a wonderful image, you almost feel the cold coming off the computer screen. I do tend to agree though that the frame does rob the picture of its qualities. IMO, if you were to put the image through a program such as Alien Skin and use the profiles for Tri X B&W film, it would take to image to another dimension.
