Michael,

four nice shots. The first seems to have more potential in it - the ground is lacking in tonal separation to my eye - but perhaps that's the way you intended it to be :)

Thanks for all your comments.

John, I don't know if that's the way I intended it - I just point the camera and press the button. I'm a happy snapper me.

Rob, Yes a fairly easy way up from Rhyd Ddu http://www.hightrek.co.uk/snowdonia/routes.htm on a busy beautiful Saturday we only met two other groups on the whole walk. That was, until we reached the top.

Very nice landscapes. I like the well-balanced tonality in the first two

as well as the going with motifs more rich in contrast last two.

Well composed, especially #3. Good results for a short walk.

Well the easy route should not be underestimated can be tiring.

You were clearly blessed with the weather on your trip Michael. I would recommend that Arminw finds time to visit Wales North & South are both stunning.

Michael,

I see all of them as good work. # 4 is my favorite. I have never captured and / or posted a photograph RAW with my D2. I have owned this camera since March, 2005. Please tell me about RAW......I honestly don't know....... although I see postings about it all the time.....Al

RAW in one paragraph eh? Here goes in summary;- amongst the advantages are: 16 bit depth of colour (instead of 8 in jpeg), ability to easily adjust white-point colour balance, ability to correct over and under exposure. Disadvantages: slow write time on the D2, bigger files, you have to spend time "developing" each image afterwards.

Get your D2 manual out and give it a whirl.

Thanks for your comments.
