Advertisement Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Hi robert_parker, Take a look here International User Meeting / Hessenpark near Solms / June 11th-14th 2009. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
spylaw4 Posted May 24, 2009 Share #82 Posted May 24, 2009 Hi Doug, hi Geoff, from Frankfurt Main Station you can take: - every half hour: The "S5" to "Bad Homburg" and from there the "Frankfurt-Königsteiner" railway to Neu-Anspach. - several times every day: direct from Frankfurt to Neu-Anspach with the "Frankfurt-Königsteiner". On Thursday, you can also take a taxi from station Bad Homburg to the "Landgasthof Saalburg". From the little station in Neu-Anspach we can pick you up and take you to the "Landgastof Saalburg" on Thursday and to Solms on Friday. Some members of our meeting rent a car from Frankfurt Airport. Perhaps they can pick you up on their way to Neu-Anspach....? Some of our members live in Bad Homburg, perhaps they organize a shuttle? I will ask them! I'm looking forward to meet you! Robert Although I have been considering hiring a car for sheer convenience, in view of the above posting, I have looked at the DBahn timetable fro train travel from Frankfurt airport to Bad Homburg ns thence to Neu Anspach - I'm staying at the Velte. I would estimate that I would get to Neu Anspach station around 13:30 on the Thursday - there seems to be about an hourly service - can anyone indicate a) if there is likely to be a taxi to take me to the Velte or can I get a lift from someone at what time? Likewise for the return on the Sunday to either Neu Anspach or Bad Homburg? Best regards and looking forward to meeting everyone

The distance ist about 1.000 meters. If more members come to Neu-Anspach at 13.30 I can give you a lift, too. Regards, Robert
S/W Posted June 3, 2009 Share #84 Posted June 3, 2009 Hi Leica friends If somebody wants a shuttle, I can take three other people to the LEICA Meeting with my car. The starting point is the Bad Homburger main station. Please give me your time of arrival at the Bad Homburg main station. Take the train S5 direction "Friedrichsdorf" or "Bad Homburg" from the main station Frankfurt am Main to Bad Homburg (Einzelauskunft). Have a nice trip to Bad Homburg and again, don't forget to tell me your time of arrival. You will see me carrying a silver chrome Leica M6TTL with an 2.0/35 Asph. Regards Stefan

spylaw4 Posted June 16, 2009 Share #93 Posted June 16, 2009 I was told last night that I could have come after all... Oh well - next year! Have a great weekend folks Andreas was finding this year's an awful lot of work to organise. So he's thinking of something or things different for a change. May be a gathering at Hessenpark without workshops, and/or joining a Leica Akademie course for part of it at e.g. Singst on the Baltic. Nothing definite of course, but it really sounds interesting! hoppyman Posted June 21, 2009 Share #94 Posted June 21, 2009 A very big thank you to Andreas for all of his huge efforts in making this so successful. Photos to follow! Also thank you very much Robert and everyone else who went out of their way to assist this overeas visitor to get from venue to venue. Truly above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks also for the welcomes and camaraderie. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire programme, making new friends and even the bratwurst and Pils.
