fotografr Posted October 22, 2008 Share #82 Posted October 22, 2008 Well mine is done but I still sound silly. Not really my thing in front of a camera , certainly I am better behind one. LOL This takes some practice for sure YouTube - GetDPI.com Lighting Workshop & Photo Shoot with Kanye West's Love Lockdown Remix Wouldn't be trying to sneak a little self-promotion into the thread, would you? Guest guy_mancuso Posted October 22, 2008 Share #83 Posted October 22, 2008 Honestly could care less about that , my workshops fill up . Just wanted to show how hard it really is to be in front of the camera. Not a easy task and i actually liked the way Dr Kaufman presented himself , looked much more natural to me than what I looked like.
bill Posted October 22, 2008 Share #84 Posted October 22, 2008 I see that this sorry excuse for a mean-spirited thread has finally come full-circle and become an advertising platform Regards Bill

Gentleman Villain Posted October 22, 2008 Share #87 Posted October 22, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) For God sakes . Fine will delete it . Unfreaking believable Hrmmmm....I didn't consider your post to be self-promotion??? I thought it was fun to watch and see you in person. But this incident is interesting...because there was a vibe in this particular forum that I couldn't quite put my finger on at first...but now I recognize it....it's cynicism Leica did X to rip us off... The purpose behind X's post is self-promotion etc etc etc Wikipedia: In pop culture, the word cynicism generally describes the opinions of those who see self-interest as the primary motive of human behaviour, and who disincline to rely upon sincerity, human virtue, or altruism as motivations Cynicism is the exact reason I got out of advertising in the mid90s. Stay away from cynics...they are psychic vampires

Guest guy_mancuso Posted October 22, 2008 Share #89 Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks guys , it was more for your amusement than anything else. But i understand someone stomping around calling it self -promotion or whatever. This forum has all kinds and sometimes fun is just not in there vocabulary. life moves forward. Okay back to the meat of it. These things are hard to do and a man like Dr Kaufman is not trained exactly in this area. I am sure he felt uncomfortable like a 2x4 in the wrong place, can't say i would blame for that. To me he was great and got his message across. That is really all that counts. If the product can't holdup to the public and his expectations than it is a failure but the S2 certainly has a lot going for it on paper . Let's see what price point it comes in at becuase ultimately that maybe the deciding factor . The Mac group announced a Mamiya AFD III which is the same body as mine ( cost at B&h 4400.00 for the body) and attached a leaf 65 28mpx back for 14999.00 US. Now folks that is not a bad deal at all for a new body and back with warranty

bill Posted October 23, 2008 Share #92 Posted October 23, 2008 Calm down, Guy. You get enough free publicity for your business out of your auto-signature, after all. Regards, Bill

There is cynicism here, but that is far from being the only - or even prime - "vibe". Many of us are fed to the back teeth with those who come on here and do nothing but moan. The M8 sub-forum is renowned for it. I would hate to see some of those same nay-sayers and digital prima-donnas move into the S2 sub-forum just because it is the new "place to be". Step outside of the digital sub-fora and you will find that this is a much more civilised place to be than many others I could mention. Regards, Bill Bill first that is none of your business and something between me and Andreas. We decided long ago to be able to link back and forth with each other . Information is information and we all want to share. Simple as that. Please get out from the cloak and dagger stuff. There are many others here as well with signatures and the same at my place. Bottom line it is good for the members to explore photography and all aspects of it.
