chanyapat Posted January 5, 2009 Share #44 Posted January 5, 2009 Can you detach the top part from the bottom part of the Leica M5 case ?? Gabor, Yes, the top part can be detached from the bottom part. I always use only bottom part, 'coz the top part is too bulky for me... Pat 8) Welcome, dear visitor! This is a really fun M3, super smooth from a recent CLA, not a trace of chrome, not even the frame counter ( see avatar ). I intend to fully flog this thing for years to come... I had slowly convinced myself to NOT getting my M2 painted black and now seeing your M3 ... The best 50mm lens and the "best" RF camera for 50mm lenses, IMHO. Who did the paint-job ? Guest Bernd Banken Posted January 8, 2009 Share #54 Posted January 8, 2009 Marie-Louise, at first congratulation for this wonderfull camera and lens. But I hope that the magic connection with your D-Lux 4 will not be interrupted...... The M6 is a different animal but your first pic in the high quality range as the shot of your son and daughter will add a new kind of photography for you. As a b/w shooter I hope that you try a lot of different types of films and developers...... Do you start to shake bottles between 6 and 10 minutes? louloumum Posted January 8, 2009 Share #55 Posted January 8, 2009 Bernd, So nice of you to follow up on this... The D-Lux 4 still sits safely in my handbag wherever I go. My plan is to do both film and digital - depending on the time, venue and subject. Years ago I have done some shaking film (from my very old, heavy as hell Canon F-1) but now I think I'll start by having a lab doing it for me and then concentrate on the scanning and PP. But you never know.... All the best _____________________ Marie-Louise
