Guest maddoc2003jp Posted October 5, 2008 Share #23 Posted October 5, 2008 here my junior M.....when I grow up I wanna be real andy The CL !!! I remember your shots taken with this combo from another thread here. I just bought a CL for .... my wife She used my IIIf / Summitar so far but wanted something smaller with meter. ( ... and I wanted to try the CL anyway ... ) Can you collapse the Elmar into the CL ? I can't use the Summitar with my M5 because of the meter arm. Cheers, Gabor @Erik: I heard about a Noctilux backup !! Unfortunately I don't have one ...
andym911 Posted October 5, 2008 Share #24 Posted October 5, 2008 gabor nice to here that there is another CL finding a home...... I don't collapse the 50 elmar else it would touch the metering arm......just keep it extended. But putting a 35/3,5 elmar on the CL makes it one of the smallest packages around!!!!! Good shooting andy

Good shooting andy Andy, thanks !! ... the CL will get a 40/2.0 Rokkor (had a Summicron-C before but couldn't it properly focus with my M6TTL) but your photos taken with the 40's 50/3.5 Elmar ....I should look for one some time. Schwarzer_M3 Posted October 5, 2008 Share #27 Posted October 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is my pride and joy. This shot features my M3, my beloved M-Hexanons, Kodak E100G, Accura Universal zoom finder, Elmo wrist strap from an 8mm movie camera, and Domke belt pouch that normally carries my camera with attached lens and spare film. The MC meter is a project. I unchromed it myself and spray painted it with black enamel paint. Next action will be the unchroming of a Leica M3 top and bottom plate, as well as various other parts, to rebuild it as a black M3. Then I'll have one of each! kenneth Posted October 26, 2008 Share #33 Posted October 26, 2008 I recently bought a second M6 from the buy and sell section on this forum. Superb condition complete with boxes and all papers. Obviously cared for. Still awaiting first film back from Ilford
tomasis7 Posted October 27, 2008 Share #34 Posted October 27, 2008 An M3 without strap lugs, self-timer or back door film dial? Interesting. not only those, also framelines preview lever, inner flash stuffs. Some small mods are left It is amazing to handle and it feels good with small lenses. The same feeling with Leica Standard. If you can imagine, it is like Standard on steroids and it got be quite tall.
tomasis7 Posted October 27, 2008 Share #35 Posted October 27, 2008 Yeah, what's that all about????????? it is sometimes hard to make differences between Standard and M3 lol If we take back with issue of M8, it is understandable that Leica included all stuffs on M3 in 195? for marketing purpose so I did remove when I did not need. Thats something great with mechanical cameras

visiondr Posted January 4, 2009 Share #39 Posted January 4, 2009 That looks like a standard Leica half-case. I believe it would have come with the M5.
