mgcd Posted June 30, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2006 She's adorably cute and your framing is excellent. This "Neuer Benutzer" is amuzingly annoying. Afterall this time to be referred to as "junior" again lol
fotografr Posted June 30, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted June 30, 2006 Thanks, Conrad. Good to see you in here. I think we should take this Neuer dude out in the alley. I think I came in with over 4,000 posts (not counting Yur's).
andybarton Posted June 30, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 30, 2006 Thanks, Conrad. Good to see you in here. I think we should take this Neuer dude out in the alley. I think I came in with over 4,000 posts (not counting Yur's). I am sure Yur can speak for himself I would have had 6000 by now. I was going to sign off on my 6000th, but couldn't be bothered to post rubbish just to get there! Don't worry about Herr Neuer. He will soon leave you, to be replaced by his cousin, Erfahrener Lovely shot of your niece, though.
stunsworth Posted June 30, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 30, 2006 Andy, I was tempted to say that posting rubbish didn't stop you from posting the previous 5500, but some might think I was being serious rather than making a wisecrack ;-) Very nice shot Brent, excellent light and exposure. andybarton Posted June 30, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 30, 2006 Andy, I was tempted to say that posting rubbish didn't stop you from posting the previous 5500, but some might think I was being serious rather than making a wisecrack ;-) As I typed that I knew that some smart alec would be along... Where are the Paris details then?

lambroving Posted July 1, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 1, 2006 Brent, I gather Andreas got back to you? Cute shot, but what's this Velvia kick with skin tones???!!! BTW, it ain't going to be easy learning all these new usernames... At least I kept mine...
stunsworth Posted July 1, 2006 Share #9 Posted July 1, 2006 William one of the things that suprised me was just how good the skin tones were for Velvia. I assume that Brent had to do a bit of work to get them like this - it isn't what I'd associate with Velvia at all. Steve
fotografr Posted July 1, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted July 1, 2006 William--First, thanks for the help with registration. Actually, I had very little work to get good skin tones with the Velvia. In some situations it's not good--but with this kind of light is worked quite well. In fact, I also shot some Astia in the same light and the Velvia looked far better to me. The most trouble I've had with Velvia and skin tones comes when I use studio strobes with it.
pxlpal2 Posted July 1, 2006 Share #11 Posted July 1, 2006 Brent, Absolutely gorgeous shot and little girl. The selective focus really works nicely with her hair framing her face. Best regards, Frank M
cbretteville Posted July 1, 2006 Share #12 Posted July 1, 2006 Very enjoyable! - Carl PS: I find it hilarious that the English language natives here make such an issue of something that is simply a text string that isn't translated. Be glad Leica is curtious and present us with a forum where most of the stuff is in English and we don't have to "schreib alles in Deutch". Allthough my high scool German could do with a little brushing up...... - C

leica_girl58 Posted July 3, 2006 Share #14 Posted July 3, 2006 Hi Yur, Long time no see. I really enjoy this image. You captured that "much older & wiser for my age" expression. The lighting is wonderful too, with just enough softness of light on her hair and shoulder. darlene
fotografr Posted July 3, 2006 Author Share #15 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey, Darlene! Great to hear from you after all these months. Does this mean you'll be posting some photos here? What have your squirrels been up to out there? Brent
