Brent,

You've made an interesting portrait of a great face.

It would not be surprizing if the food she sells tastes wonderful.

Thank you, Dirk. We have many Hmong farmers selling produce at our market. All seem to be very good farmers. Haven't heard much from you for quite a while. How are things?

Brent,

You are a lucky man to be able to encounter such experts in your farmers market.

I guess they're great subjects for portraits, too.

Noriko and I are both doing fine.

We don't visit the forum as often as we used to, but our cameras and lenses

(also that wonderful nocti we got after looking at some of the photos you've posted), are never far away.

Since the M8 came out, suddenly we both got some criminal ideas that you surely will recognize.

Hope all is fine with you.

Best,

Dirk

Quite a departure for you from what you normally post. Lovely light, colors, angle and crop, and terrific subject. There are some Hmong farmers in nearby Upstate New York who use all the traditional methods (including planting on small island in the middle of rivers, thereby increasing the growing season from the remaining warmth) and they produce, for example, eggplants 70% heavier, but the same size as those form conventional farms.
