In the spirit of providing the company we all respect (Leica) with some positive input, perhaps a simple poll may be in order. If a modestly priced, smaller, M-lens compatible digital version of the CL came out, how many would buy one on the spot? With the approval of the moderator, please register my vote as ay! sebastian Posted September 12, 2008 Share #12 Posted September 12, 2008 My Leitz-Minolta CL with the 40 & 90mm lenses was my fav camera ever (until, alas, a burglar made off with it.) A digital equivalent (same size camera, similar lenses) with an APS sensor would be golden. Assuming I wouldn't have to sell my house to get one, sign me up. I sometimes confuse my CLs, CMs and Miniluxes... but as long as the thing looks boxy, has weird outdated dials and comes with a 40mm Summicron, I'm buying it. Perhaps now, even more than when the film-based CL arrived, having an Asian company help produce a CL digital body that is compact, reasonably priced (so as to allow replacements or upgrades every few years as sensor capabilities are increased), and accepting of the basic M-lenses would be magnificent.
