rick_dykstra Posted August 30, 2008 Share #12 Posted August 30, 2008 looking for new ftp software recommendations. running osx leopard mainly back and forth to cpi and associated press thanx in advance! john John, go with RBrowser. It's a free download and works beautifully. I'm using it with OSX and it copes well with the passive/active transfer conflicts that occur with some ISPs. I prefer it to Fetch and Cyberduck which I've also used. Rick.

gwelland Posted August 31, 2008 Share #14 Posted August 31, 2008 I've used most of the ftp clients mentioned here such as transmit, fetch and CyberDuck but now I've settled on the best overall package for both uploads AND downloads on the web and for me that's SpeedDownload 5. Fabulous for general fast downloads and the same basic interface is also used for fast ftp uploads and site management.
