topoxforddoc Posted August 3, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Isn't it great when people throw these old cars around with gay abandon? No roll cage, no safety belts, just plenty of courage. Here's a 1919 vintage GN/JAP Grand Prix car seen this morning at the VSCC (Vintage Sports Car Club) meeting at Prescott. Lovely sunny morning and lots of beautiful cars and all at little more than an arms length away. sisyphus Posted August 4, 2008 Share #3 Posted August 4, 2008 Dangerous indeed! Look at the monster V8 engine in this frontal shot from Motormarques.com - Welcome. I'd guess at three to four litres displacement? This one has straight pipes!
topoxforddoc Posted August 9, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted August 9, 2008 Stu and Richard, Thanks for your comments. The aero engined cars after the First World War are just a monstrous group of vehicles. Jeremy Clarkson might even think they were cool! Azzo, Thank you very much - praise indeed! I will frame this later when I have time. Not sure my wife, Sue, will give me wall space, but I'll see.
