earleygallery Posted September 20, 2008 Share #102 Posted September 20, 2008 Bill, that's a real shame. Hope you're fully recovered soon.
earleygallery Posted September 21, 2008 Share #103 Posted September 21, 2008 OK, how about this place for dinner, Polish fare and has good reviews, located just off the main square in the Old Town; Restauracja Kawaleria - Restauracja w Krakowie - Restaurant Krakow They have a range of fixed price menu's and overall their prices are very reasonable. They've e mailed me some choices but I just need to work out how to save them in a format I can attach here.

erl Posted September 21, 2008 Share #105 Posted September 21, 2008 Reads well James. Looks like a suitable venue for 'exercising' a Noctilux.

Matt Black Posted September 23, 2008 Share #109 Posted September 23, 2008 Matt, just to follow on to what Erl said, if you want an M6 to use I can lend you one. I have a few lenses too. Thank you Erl and Stunsworth, I may well like to take one of you up on your offer. Bill spent some time showing me his cameras and lenses I have been into Aperture a few times in London and had a play about. I'm pretty sure the M6 will be the one for me but haven't committed yet. If I buy the body, my wife is going to stump up for the first lens, but I can't see that happening within the next few weeks. I appreciate the offers, the loan of a camera would be ideal for me if I can make it over to Krakow for the weekend. My work commitments are uncertain at the moment so I will not know until the last minute if I will be able to come. I'll PM you when I know for definite that I can make it. Thanks again for the loan offers. Chris
erl Posted September 23, 2008 Share #110 Posted September 23, 2008 Matt, you are very welcome, both for a loan and to be at Krakow. If you decide to PM me, do it before October 7. That is when I depart Melbourne, where I live. You may prefer Steve's M6 since it will be identical to your proposed purchase, but the real differences between M6 &7 are extremely minor. stunsworth Posted September 23, 2008 Share #111 Posted September 23, 2008 I'll probably bring the M6 along anyway. It's been a while since I shot any film. If you do manage to make it to Krakow, you are more than welcome to try the camera.

StS Posted September 23, 2008 Share #114 Posted September 23, 2008 Hi Andy, sorry for the misunderstanding, if you meant me - I will be definitely in Krakow and will be joining the Saturday evening dinner. earleygallery Posted September 25, 2008 Share #118 Posted September 25, 2008 Re. the dinner, I spoke with the restaurant today and they will take orders on the night, so you DON'T need to PM me with your choices in advance. Thanks.
erl Posted September 25, 2008 Share #119 Posted September 25, 2008 Thank goodness! I have enough trouble remembering what I ordered on the night, much less several weeks in advance.
stunsworth Posted September 27, 2008 Share #120 Posted September 27, 2008 Just had a look at my guide book. According to it the place we're meeting only opens at 11am. I know that's only half an hour after we're arranged to get there, but can anyone confirm the actual opening time - my guide book may be giving the opening time of the art gallery rather than the cafe.
