fotografr Posted September 19, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 19, 2006 That automobile is too pretty to drive. ps--Also VERY nice photos.
stuny Posted September 19, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2006 Dan - Lovely, both. #1, though, is a WONDERFUL composition with organic shapes and subtle color gradations.
wbesz Posted September 19, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 19, 2006 There's a spot of dirt on the right mudguard Dan.
lambroving Posted September 20, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 20, 2006 Hello Dan, THAT was quick. You did a reasonable job with the color. This is pretty close and Royal Ivory is a real bear. This is closer, but I've yet to nail it. Have a look at the 2nd attempt here. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/sports-leisure-time/2780-royal-ivory.html?highlight=Royal+Ivory It's a rich, creamy color. William B. That's a BUG! Collected at a high rate of speed no doubt. Naturally I had to give Dan a longish ride...
ddp Posted September 20, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted September 20, 2006 Thanks for the comments. Believe me, I debated on "cleaning" up that bug...lol. I knew the color on this would be tough...chromes were slightly underexposed, and my home monitor is not as accurate as I would like it to be. The photos William linked to are certainly closer. I suspect more shooting of this vehicle is needed!

abrewer Posted September 21, 2006 Share #8 Posted September 21, 2006 Gee...some guys have all the fun: sports cars, brewpubs.... Sure wish I had a good job like William's!! Great images Dan. The Velvia colors are terrific. I never get tired of seeing them. William thinks I'm a saturation junkie, but so be it. Thanks. Allan
ddp Posted September 22, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted September 22, 2006 Allan, Thanks for the compliments. I've really become a Velvia fan, especially since shooting with the Leica glass. New Jersey's brewpubs are not quite what they used to be....I suspect I need to visit the UK, see the Ridgeway and drink some nice ales.
Rona!d Posted November 12, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 12, 2007 Wow, red wing pipings, wondeful! The color looks very good, but the shadows have NO details, too less for my taste, but that´s VELVIA50, heavy to catch the shadows!
ddp Posted November 15, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted November 15, 2007 up from the dead....my lord! I will have to look at the chromes again - it's possible my scan was not up to snuff on the second one....
