I leaving for Sweden next weekend and will be there for a month.I'm told that I can't bring Eclipse2 aboard an airplane because it's flammable. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could use in place of E2 if I have to do some wet cleaning.

Thanks

Gene

take along sensor swabs and buy the purest available alcohol, e.g. isopropyl 99%, from a local pharmacy in Sweden. Are you sure you need wet cleaning and a blower and artic butterfly don't get the job done?

Eclipse can be bought easily in Sweden, I´d guess most pro oriented shops do carry it. I got mine at YFO, Brännkyrkagatan in Stockholm, but there are several other places.

Of course, outside the larger cities, it might be a bit more difficult. And I DEFINITELY wouldn´t use any isopropyl (or other) alcohol product on the sensor unless explicitly declared suitable. Swedish law and regulations still are paranoid about any kind of alcohol (not just ethanol) sold in other places than the state owned liquor shops, so they may contain whatever additive that tastes most foul....

Beware that some alcohol is sold with additives to colour it or make it taste wonderfull and these additives can cause smearing.
