It will be a special collection presented in a wooden box... for the symbolical price of.... 10,000 Euros (US$15,556) .... if could live without mine and with an extra 7000 Euros in my pocket.... anyone interested? But if you admire the lens enough to use it, then why on earth would you pay that kind of inflated price ? Yesterday I took delivery of a current model notilux in LN condition for $5240. I believe that if you want one badly enough, they can be found for somewhere in the $4000 to $6000 range. It all comes down to the purpose of the purchase. clw Posted May 16, 2008 Share #14 Posted May 16, 2008 I do want a Noctilux, but not to stow away in a collectable box, but to put on the front of an MP or M7 that I plan to buy, and get down to imagemaking. I wish someone could confirm for me if Leica is going to stop making these lenses (non-collectable Noctilux). Honestly, it doesn't seem very likely that they would. Sure it's a pricey lens, but it's a freakin' F1 lens! And I thought I read that newer Noctilux lenses were made in Solms, older ones in Canada at Elcan? I think they'll make some "special numbering" too...
