stuny Posted September 15, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) In Delhi there is a most impressive mosque, Jama Masjid. I’ve posted four images from there below. The first is a remarkably graceful woman lost in thought. The second is an interior of the mosque. The third is in the open courtyard with a pool. The fourth, which I’ve posted on the old Forum, but repeat here for continuity, is of the man who collects fees to bring cameras into the mosque. He was very thorough and stern. Michael-IIIf Posted September 15, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2006 Stuart, He does indeed look stern - I wouldn't mess with him. Lovely sharp photograph you've hit it on the button. Michael
jmr Posted September 15, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2006 Stuart, the last shot's a very good portrait. Does he charge for posing?
fotografr Posted September 15, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 15, 2006 Very nicely done series, Stuart. I particularly like the first one because of the unusual body position of the woman and the soft light in the background. The profile of the fee collector is also very impressive. stuny Posted September 15, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted September 15, 2006 Michael - Thank you. John - As I was removing my shoes to enter I noticed him and made a mental note to photograph him. The sights inside distracted me so that I forgot until I was putting on my shoes again. I just lifted my FZ20, zoomed tight and shot. Other images posted here are D2. Brent - Thank you. I found the woman's position so graceful that I was enchanted, and missed much of what our guide was saying, but Barbara took notes.
