stuny Posted September 15, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted September 15, 2006 John - Â One of the best Coliseum photos I've ever seen -- light, colors, detail, franing. Did you rest the C-Lux on or against something? More proof that the C Lux is a rather able camera when in capable hands.
jmr Posted September 15, 2006 Author Share #4 Â Posted September 15, 2006 Stuart, Â fortunately I do have steady hands and, aided by the rather impressive image stabilisation of the C-Lux, I've managed to get acceptable hand-held exposures of 1/2 second, on occasion. Two seconds did however call for some external assistance. Walking along the Via Imperali, I noticed a path up to the place from where this shot was taken. No one else seemed to see it, so they were all shooting from street level. I was very pleased to find a convenient wall at the top on which I could put the C-Lux down to get the shot. Less pleasant was the fact that the place seemed well known to the local dog population, which seemed to use it as a toilet. Still, one has to suffer for one's art, I suppose
semrich Posted September 15, 2006 Share #5 Â Posted September 15, 2006 John, Â I must say from all the photos I've seen you post from your C-lux, you are getting quite handy with it. I know it is a fun little camera to just carry around in your pocket, especially when you get a beautiful photo like this. Â Richard
