wstotler Posted March 9, 2008 Share #1 Â Posted March 9, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! Â My dad's Digilux 2 battery is dead--and he's leaving for China tomorrow afternoon (Monday, March 10th) out of Boston. Â We're very sure it's the battery and not the camera. Â I Googled around looking for a dealer in Boston that may have the Digilux 2 battery on hand. No direct luck. Â Can somebody in the Boston area recommend the names of some dealers that are most likely to have the Digilux 2 battery in stock? Â Thanks much in advance! dugby Posted March 9, 2008 Share #3 Â Posted March 9, 2008 Not sure if you are aware that there has been a D2 sensor failure that has been heavily discussed on this forum, and Leica has an extended a warranty to address this. Â You should test the D2 again with the AC power supply, to confirm your diagnosis.

marknorton Posted March 10, 2008 Share #7 Â Posted March 10, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's been out of production for, what, 2 years now so I would have thought it's a special order item. In the nature of things, they are going to get more difficult to obtain and I've bought some compatibles which work fine. It's a Panasonic camera of course so you might try Panasonic dealers. spylaw4 Posted March 10, 2008 Share #8 Â Posted March 10, 2008 It's essentially the same battery as the L1 and Digilux 3 (small mAh difference only) and possibly also the L10 so try asking for those as alternatives.
