thanks to both of you. let's see how many people would like to visit Oxford and accordingly we will set a date either in early March or late April, because the Colleges - where the pretty sights are hidden from the streets - will remain open.

I'll come too if the date's ok. I'm only 40 miles west of Oxford in Cheltenham.

haha, i used to go to Rendcomb Coll, that tiny school located between Cheltenham and Cirencester!! Now I live in Loughborough for uni...

Anytime before mid May is fine for me (except early April)!

Hi,

Yes Oxford on a Saturday or Sunday would be good for me (from Swindon) late April/May if the weather is good. There is a very old pub in the centre of Oxford called the Turf Tavern not far from Blackwells book shop and the round concert hall with Gargoils on the edge. You have to duck down a back alleyway to find the pub which has a range of ales.

Keep me in the loop.

Regards, Lincoln

If you go to the Turf with a crested neck tie on, then they may chop it off in return for a pint!. They collect ties from army regiments, clubs etc. If they see yours and they don't have it, then snip, snip!
