Advertisement Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Hi wilfredo, Take a look here The Glowing Violinist. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
uulrich Posted September 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2006 YEs, this violinist is realy glowing. Good work. I like it. I haven't spotted the other audience immediately and I thought there is only the boy listening.
stuny Posted September 3, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 3, 2006 Wilfredo - At first I wondered if the angle was quite the best one or not so I captued the image and played around with rotation. It is strongest as you saw it. Lovely.
vic vic Posted September 3, 2006 Share #4 Posted September 3, 2006 cool wilfredo - love it very much. im also not sure about the extreme camera rotation, but dont really mind - it works here well :-))
uulrich Posted September 3, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 3, 2006 TMAX seems to me the right choice. I use FP4 and EI it to 133 and I am very satisfied w/ it. I like the way how you rotated/tilted.
rob_x2004 Posted September 3, 2006 Share #6 Posted September 3, 2006 Very nice Wilfredo. Can I ask, in this instance do you manual shoot the M7 or use its metering mode in aperture priority?
wilfredo Posted September 3, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted September 3, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm pleased with the shots I got with this film. I hadn't used it before, I've been using Ilford XP2 but I like the way this film scanned and the fine grain. I shot this with the M7 on aperture priority mode with the aperture set to f/2. As you can tell by my pctures, I like to play with the angles sometimes :-) I have another shot I'll be adding in the next day or so from this roll of film. I think I will be using it more often now when shooting B&W. Thank you all for your kind comments. Wilfredo+ Benitez-Rivera Photography

fotografr Posted September 30, 2006 Share #9 Posted September 30, 2006 Ah, film! Very nice effect. I even like the extreme tilt in this one.
gverdon Posted October 6, 2006 Share #10 Posted October 6, 2006 Wilfredo, glowing it is, indeed. Boy's face is stunning and I would be tempted to think that a more "usual" landscape angle would help to enhance the strong story your picture is telling. Thanks for sharing. abrewer Posted October 7, 2006 Share #12 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi Wilfredo! This is superb! Your contrast and lighting is incredible here. I wish I could do something that daring and pull it off. I didn't really catch the significance of the rotation until I noticed that it puts the violin bow at straight up 90 degrees...then it all made sense. Thanks for sharing!
