On the road to Jaipur, we stopped briefly in a village for me to take some photos. This one shows a man boiling milk for the purpose of making sweets to sell at market. The original was a bit bigger and in color, but former Forum member, Aussie Rob Armstrong (Where are you, Rob?) suggested this crop and changing to B&W. I agree. You can see more pohtos from the road to Jaipur on the second page of India photos on our site.

Thanks for posting the original, as I said this is a photo I can learn from. Now seeing the original I am inclined to side with the first one in color or B&W. In foreign countries I tend to want to see enough in the frame to give some context of the location.

Ravi, Victor and Richard - Thank you. For further comparison I've attached a B&W of the uncropped original.

 

And Ravi, thank you for identifying the "ladoos". We were having so much fun meeting people and taking their photos that I failed to ask what the ladoos were called.
