algrove Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM Share #41 Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) I am getting so tired of my fence sitting about this camera. One day I want one and the next I say no. Then I think what will I be missing if I forego this model since I am a Viso2 junkie user. A dealer has me on his list for next week if I want one. Well for me shxx or get off the pot very soon. 2

jaapv Posted Sunday at 08:02 PM Share #42 Posted Sunday at 08:02 PM Well, if you keep this up, all the Kings horses and all the Kings men couldn't put you together again.

LeicaR10 Posted Sunday at 10:57 PM Share #44 Posted Sunday at 10:57 PM Algrove, I feel your angst for making a decision on getting the EV-1. Personally, I found asking myself this basic question when I am thinking about upgrading cameras, etc.; Will this new camera really help me create better photographs from what I am already able to do with my current camera? In my case, I found using the Visoflex 2 more than adequate when needing the ability to focus in low light, and longer M lenses. I also remove my Visoflex from the camera when I decide to move down the trail. Not a big deal for me. I also have the luxury of using my SL2 or SL2-S camera if I really need critical focus with M lenses. Last, my bank account breathes a sigh of relief knowing I really didn't need another camera as the ones that I have now, work just fine. Of course, GAS has no cure after going to GAS rehab 3 times in my early years, until I discovered discipline and adopted the concept of "needing vs wanting" and enforced with, you guested it; discipline. But at the end of the day, you will decide what is best for you. r/ Mark

Evidence-X2dIIx2, SL3, SL3S, M11M (just sold my second M11M), M11P (just sold my second M11P) , M6TTLx2 (0.58 and 0.85), M3, Barnack 1C (1931), O Serie/5cm f3.5, Hasselblads: 500C/M, SWC original in black, 903 SWC, 503CW. Of course I need GAS rehab, but there is not a facility close to me🤣-- only camera stores. 3
LeicaR10 Posted Monday at 01:21 AM Share #46 Posted Monday at 01:21 AM (edited) Al, WOW!....Yep...GAS is a very, very dangerous disease. I was told it's worse than being addicted to drugs when I was in for GAS rehab. Your black AMEX card must be feeling major pain. The camera stores are certainly of no help either...only leads to more GAS, bankruptcy and marital strife (last two go hand in hand). The only thing I learned from all this; GAS, taxes and death are all interrelated in some way. Don't worry though, Leica has a M12 and S4 on the way, but that only adds to, you guessed it...more GAS and taxes... Hang in there, I feel your pain as do many others who are suffering from GAS too. r/ Mark PS Maybe you should get the M11-EV1, its a temporary "fix" until the M12/S4 arrive.... I won't be buying an S4 since I like my X2Dii too much and I imagine the entry price for out will prohibitive even b y my standards. Since Daniels mentioned he'd like to see IBIS in an M someday, that might be in the M12. If not will we buy the M13? or wait for the M14?

Try fitting a full frame EVF camera with 3 lenses in a tiny case like that. First time i can use it this way since the 80s. Leica Combination case #14825 Welcome, dear visitor! algrove Posted Monday at 02:23 PM Share #54 Posted Monday at 02:23 PM I think some Oberwerth camera bags made for M's might also work well, but they are probably larger than the one you picture here.

The Oberwerth Signature Bag M looks compact enough at first glance. No room for Visoflex i guess but the MEV1 + 3 compact lenses could possibly fit. In the combi case above i can cram my MEV1 + Summicron 35/2 v4, Summicron 50/2 v4 and Macro-Elmar 90/4. The Oberwerth should fit too i suppose but i would check it in person before ordering as the bag is not cheap.

I have a Louis Oberwerth bag since I put cameras in it with Viso2 attached so without Viso2 lump on top it should take even more lenses if wanted especially since the Viso2 cushions that come with the bag also take up plenty of space. Stop reminding me of my GAS as it just makes me buy more to make the GAS temporarily go away😉 Just got me thinking that maybe a nicer bag would help me capture better images🤩. PhotoCruiser Posted Monday at 04:57 PM Share #59 Posted Monday at 04:57 PM vor 5 Minuten schrieb algrove: Just got me thinking that maybe a nicer bag would help me capture better images🤩. It will! The nicer and much more expensive bag will lead that you go photographing more often to proudly show the Leica bag and because the more frequent carrying the bag and camera you shoot more photos and there will be better ones under the more you shoot. Simple like that 😎 Chris
algrove Posted Monday at 05:31 PM Share #60 Posted Monday at 05:31 PM I actually often go out with a canvas reporter bag with stuff in side usually in neoprene cases to prevent lens/etc from banging into each other.
