Also the handy battery level indicator LEDs .
Advertisement Posted Wednesday at 09:06 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:06 PM Hi tjphoto, Take a look here I wish someone made these for the M10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
FrozenInTime Posted Wednesday at 09:40 PM Share #2 Â Posted Wednesday at 09:40 PM (edited) Yes, a M10 variant would be great. SmallRig also make similar batteries with built in USB-C ports; they work flawlessly. I have their batteries for the Lumix GH7, and now Nikon ZR; using them out of body with USB-C Â whenever possible. The thought of losing a Leica M11 etc. main logic board to a $2 Li-ion charger IC fault is best avoided; in body USB-C recharging is reserved for emergency use only. Does it happen often?  There’s always a risk with in body charging.. if they make the m10 batteries with this usb c port, i’d buy another m10
tjphoto Posted yesterday at 07:49 PM Author Share #5 Â Posted yesterday at 07:49 PM I did not know that. I charge my Canon R5mkii and Fuji GFXii all the time by USB C.
TomB_tx Posted 23 hours ago Share #6 Â Posted 23 hours ago If someone fits the charging circuit, USB, and LEDs into a case that fits the M10 battery compartment they lose room for the battery elements. How much less capacity is this worth?

They claim that they use Panasonic Premium Cells. Most likely a kind of cells similar to Panasonics Eneloop rechargeable batteries what are definitively the best and most powerful on the market. Only a personal test will reveal if they last longer than other brands, including Leica ones. Chris EDIT: I checked their website and they write that cells are Li-Ion, so they are different than the Eneloop NiMH technology. Zitat At the core of PowerCell batteries are Panasonic NCR1850 lithium-ion cells—the same premium cells used only by SWIT and OEM original batteries. These cells deliverprecise discharge curves for accurate runtime prediction, ensuring that the7.2V 2200mAh / 16Wh capacity is real and not overstatedThanks to Panasonic’s superior chemistry, PowerCell batteries provide alonger calendar lifespan, retaining strong performance even after years of use. This means filmmakers can trust consistent results and reliable runtime planning directly on their camera’s battery indicator.  Edited 11 hours ago by PhotoCruiser

Also the handy battery level indicator LEDs . Never happen. These are all batteries used for current models and even new models going forward - the M10 is long discontinued and even Leica had a problem supplying batteries for it. Nikon etc have played it smart and forward/backward looking by using the same battery for years and years, even with a whole system change from F to Z. Leica could learn a thing or two (of course when you sell spares for $300+, why not have a different battery for every model? The red dot tax...).
