beewee Posted September 2 Share #1 Posted September 2 Advertisement (gone after registration) There’s been speculation for a while on what DJI would do since they joined the L-mount alliance. Would be interesting if they do release a DJI branded full-frame camera: https://www.l-rumors.com/dji-to-shake-up-l-mount-full-frame-camera-rumored-for-september-15/
Advertisement Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Hi beewee, Take a look here DJI L-mount camera. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SrMi Posted September 3 Share #2 Posted September 3 My guess would be a cine camera.
LocalHero1953 Posted September 3 Share #3 Posted September 3 There already is a video camera. Choose from a range of mounts, including L.

If it's using the Hasselblad colour science and menu system I would find it odd if under DJI brand rather than Hasselblad. Plus it makes much more sense as a prosumer camera under Hasselblad, and they already have the design language to follow. a boxy smaller version of the X2DII.

My comment was tongue-in-cheek, but doesn't DJI own Hasselblad? Though I assume that the bit of DJI that has joined the L-mount alliance is a different subsidiary company to Hasselblad - i.e. a sibling has joined, not the parent. The L mount is probably not suitable for MF (throat width 52mm vs 61/65mm); therefore, it does not make sense for MF manufacturers to join the alliance.

We will find out if and when Leica launches a S4 with L-mount (as discussed in this thread).
jaapv Posted September 7 Share #10 Posted September 7 Not when; if. I think a new S mount would need an adapter for L lenses. Leica would not want to hamper their lens design by specifying a too restrictive mount. Don’t forget that they would have to shorten the register distance dramatically, from 50 mm to something like 15. That alone would call for a wide throat on an MF sensor, more wide than the present S one.
jrichie Posted September 7 Share #11 Posted September 7 It will be interesting to see how they market this - DJI FF camera to compete in the lower-mid range or a Hasselblad FF camera to compete in the mid- high range. I imagine based on the rumours, it will most likely be at the level of the Samsung S9 / Sigma BF with a EVF, which makes it very attractive [and the camera those who want an EVF M may also be swayed to - like me....]. LocalHero1953 Posted September 10 Share #12 Posted September 10 Leica has just launched its Hektor range of cine lenses with multi adapters for different camera mounts. DJI's Zenmuse X9 is designed to be used with interchangeable lens mounts. It's a trend. Maybe Leica will do the same with the S4: a body plus a series of adapters for different lenses.
Olaf_ZG Posted September 14 Share #13 Posted September 14 May be they will bring out a 907sl 😎
KitW Posted September 14 Share #14 Posted September 14 Maybe they will go like Fuji and skip the full frame. An APSC Hasselblad so I don't need to worry about my CL breaking? TFIC but... The more camera manufacturers join the alliance the better.

Einst_Stein Posted September 16 Share #18 Posted September 16 (edited) I would not picture DJI-L as another Panasonic. ROI would be questionable given Panasonic and Sigma already cover most ground. Maybe high end Drone or Robot oriented photography system? Imaging a HB on Drone or on Robot, AND a LL on Drone or on Robot! costa43 Posted September 16 Share #19 Posted September 16 A rangefinder shaped L mount camera from DJI with the Hasselblad colour science would be nice.
