Overexposure using aperture priority

M11 with 35 mm 1.4 Voitlander lens. It is overexposing when using aperture priority for both iso and speed. ? Is this a common issue?

Can you share an image that is overexposed and the metering method?

If it's highlights you're worried about, the M11 has a highlight-weighted mode to prevent this.

What firmware are you using? What shutter type do you have selected and as asked above, which metering method? Also, what is your exposure compensation set to and does it overexpose if you set ISO to a fixed value?

I've found it to be more common that it should be. Make sure hybrid shutter is on to rule that, and verify that the camera thinks the exposure is right. I switch to Highlight metering mode when the camera starts blowing highlights and then over to Multi when it starts losing shadows.

I had this occasionally with my M11 Mono but only when using Auto ISO.  Files were sent back to Leica to examine.  It was eventually fixed with a firmware update, can’t remember which one.  Just make sure you have the latest firmware installed.
