evikne Posted July 14 Share #1 Posted July 14 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Telemark Canal is a 105 km long canal in southern Norway. It was originally built to transport passengers, goods, and timber. It has eight locks with a total of 18 lock chambers and a height difference of 72 meters. The canal boat MS “Victoria” has been operating more or less regularly since 1882. Together with another canal boat, it still transports tourists there in the summertime. All shots are taken with M10 and 35mm Summilux pre-ASPH v2. Welcome, dear visitor! pedaes Posted July 14 Share #8 Posted July 14 Lovely set. Something surreal about a boat in the middle of a dense forest as in #3.

Yes, in some places the channel is so narrow that the large boat barely fits.

MarkP Posted July 15 Share #11 Posted July 15 (edited) Lovely nice set of photos. I'd only previoiulsyheard of Telemark because of the movie - which I saw last century and is almost as old as me 🙂 Edited July 15 by MarkP

spassig123 Posted July 16 Share #13 Posted July 16 (edited) Ernst. Thanks for showing your pictures. We have beautiful memories of our canal cruise in 2022 by very nice weather. Did you accompany the canal cruise always from land? Jochen Edited July 16 by spassig123 Name edit

The canal ends up in my hometown, Skien, so I have taken the boat trip several times before.
