WHAT !?!?  A silver thumbrest on a Black Paint camera? Sacrilege!! 🤢 It does not even match the hot shoe!

The mismatch between the talk and the images is also noticeable, you could ask ‘does the pelmet match the curtains?’ except the analogy could ruin many a profound and thoughtful moment if applied here.

@jaapv as a moderator, what is the policy of LUF on bots posing as real people for engagement bait?

People will keep coming into this thread not realizing the actual nonsense this account has been spamming the board with for months now.

The above comment is barely even grammar. There is a reason I do not respond to or mention the above account.

Is there really only one monolithic “Leica Look?” Fans of Walter Mandler lenses, for example, may not agree that Peter Karbe-era lenses have the same “Leica Look.”

Moreover, Leica M-mount is not the only Leica system. Leica R was an SLR system….

As a follow-up to my largely rhetorical questions, quoted above, it was a Peter Karbe lens that lured me into trying the Leica M system, in the first place. That lens, the Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, remains my favorite, to the extent that I bought a “spare,” though the second one is heavier, being chrome-over-brass, rather than aluminum alloy. I bought both of these pre-owned, which means they have retained much of their value, so, I do not see the second one as being extravagant. I have another Karbe lens the APO SUmmicron-M 75mm ASPH.

Unlike some Leica shooters, who cling to one design team’s lenses, for a specific “look,” I did soon start acquiring Leica lenses or other eras. I can now declare that I am also a fan of Walter Mandler’s lenses. Two favorites are the Summicron-M 50mm, version IV/V, and, the Elmarit-M 28mm Version III. The 50mm ‘Cron is, of course, still in the line-up. The 28mm Elmarit renders MUCH differently than any currently-made Leica 28mm lens.

On the matter of Leica R SLR lenses, the Summilux-R 80mm is considered, by many, to be optically very much like the Summilux-M 75mm lens. Both are Mandler designs. I own neither, but, would like to own both, some day, if I could ever justify spending the money.

The pictures are still boring, even with less glass and more micro contrast.

And I think your Leica Looks ugly as well.

But I don’t mind if you have another opinion.

I get the impression a lot of forum members agree… 😀
