Advertisement Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hi mackgoo, Take a look here LTM to M adaptor. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ramarren Posted June 27 Share #2  Posted June 27 I have a few of these, acquired over many years; some original Leica, others unknown. The most recent ones (bought about a decade ago) are Rayqual brand that I got from B&H Photo. They're available in black or silver finish ... I prefer the silver as it's easier to see the M-mount index on the rim, but I have (and use) both. Also be sure to order the correct focal length model for your lens ... they make 28-90, 35-135, and 50-75 to bring up the appropriate frameline pair on the M bodies. Currently they're about $80 each at B&H Photo. G

farnz Posted June 27 Share #4 Â Posted June 27 If your Summicron has an infinity lock then make sure that the adaptor you buy has a suitable cut-out or your infinity lock's mechanism might jam against the adaptor. Pete.
Ecar Posted June 27 Share #5  Posted June 27 If you are using LV or the EVF on the M10, you need an adapter that's also going to cover the 6-bit sensor. Rayqual and Light Lens Lab adapters are currently the best in my experience. They both cover the 6-bit code area and come with a cutout for the infinity lock pin.
LocalHero1953 Posted June 27 Share #6 Â Posted June 27 I have bought cheap adapters on eBay that work well but have sharp unpolished edges, making them uncomfortable to handle. I have both Leica and Voigtlander adapters which are fine.

lct Posted June 27 Share #8  Posted June 27 (edited) I use a 6-bit coded Kipon 50.75 with my collapsible Summicron 50/2 v1 # 1376***. Works perfectly at all focus distances with my M11 and M240 but i have no experience with the M10. Welcome, dear visitor! You can see it here, even when you imagine the tab pressed down: Welcome, dear visitor! Same for the rigid Summicron as well as 35mm Summicron or both versions of 35mm Summaron, the 2.8/50mm Elmar with LTM and the Summar or Summitar. The cutout is needed for the focus tabs of the 3.5/5cm and 3.5cm Elmars and the 2.8cm Hektor or Summaron. For the 5cm Hektor with the focus tab at 11°clock position (the most frequent versions) the adapters won't work at all, since on it's long way to the fixing position for infinity at 11° clock it will hit the adapter also when it is not pressed down. So you either have to manipulate the adapter with another cutout (I did) or look for a Hektor with 7°clock position (I still do.)  Edited June 29 by UliWer 1
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Yes, I experienced the problem with the 5cm/3.5 Elmar; I sold my hazy 5cm/2 collapsible Summicron many years ago and had never mounted it using an adaptor. Pete.
