o2mpx Posted June 25 Share #1  Posted June 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) Other than eBay, where would 6 bit coded flanges be found for Voigtlander lenses? Prefer not taking the DYI marker approach and anticipating getting the recently announced 28mm APO.
Advertisement Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Hi o2mpx, Take a look here 6 bit coding for Voigtlander. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted June 25 Share #2 Â Posted June 25 The DYI method just marking the black dots with a template and paint pen works very well for Voigtlander, as the flanges are slightly recessed in the marking area so the marks don't rub off on the camera mount.
jaapv Posted June 25 Share #3  Posted June 25 TBH, I never bothered to code my Voigtländer lenses. Any -if any-  lens corrections won't apply correctly anyway and I normally don't need to know the focal length in EXIF.

250swb Posted June 25 Share #5 Â Posted June 25 Other than very old Voigtlander lenses they all now have a recessed groove in the flange for coding as Tom said, and now the screws don't get in the way. Use black paint and you don't need to bother with the white marks.
kenf Posted June 27 Share #6  Posted June 27 I have an odd situation with a hand coded Voigtlander 50/1.4. My M-P240 and M246 read it just fine, but my SL2 does not using a Leica L-M adapter.  Other factory coded M lenses read fine on the SL2.  I’d like to figure this out, switching back and forth between automatic and manual lens detection is a pain.
