fotografr Posted March 29 Share #3 Posted March 29 Nice image, but it would seem to violate one of the basic forum rules: "In general, photographs taken without the use of Leica equipment are not permitted."
jaapv Posted March 29 Author Share #4 Posted March 29 That is not the rule. Nowadays L Alliance gear is quite acceptable. After all, we have a number of subforums covering it. It would be strange to say the least to ban Alliance partners. We have changed this years back, when the Alliance took shape.
fotografr Posted March 29 Share #5 Posted March 29 (edited) This could get very interesting in terms of the Leica identity on this forum. Currently there are several companies making cameras with the L mount. They include Panasonic, Sigma, DJI, Black magic, Samyang and Astro. Viltrox is probably coming soon. With this rule expansion, images made with any of those cameras could be used with L mount lenses made by Sigma, Panasonic, Laowa, Sirui Optical, 7 Artisans, Kipon, Lens Baby, TT Artisan, Meike, NiSi, AstrHori, and could legitimately be posted here on the Leica Forum. There seems to be a strong interest in expanding the L Mount Alliance in an effort to have more affordable and universal lens mount options available. As the number grows, there will eventually be so many combinations acceptable for posting here that it will no longer be the Leica Forum. Perhaps this discussion would be more appropriate in a different section. Please feel free to move it. Edited March 29 by fotografr

Sorry jaapv but better ask Admin to update Rules then "Prerequisite for placing a photo is that it has been made with Leica equipment and/or has a strong relationship to a Leica subject."
jaapv Posted March 29 Author Share #7 Posted March 29 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, the relationship can be construed as the Alliance - I'll put it to Andreas - the rules are his. 1
