Advertisement Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Hi 7enderbender, Take a look here Leather half case for M10R - no trapdoor. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Siriusone59 Posted March 11 Share #2 Posted March 11 Lim's sells one but along with the red stitching comes a crocodile pattern in the leather that some may not like. The grip is very sturdy and the quick release plate and tripod socket on the bottom is useful. I find it very functional and if I remember correctly it was about $180. irenedp Posted March 11 Share #3 Posted March 11 Luigi cases are excellent and hand made. I have one for the 10r and also for the 9.
dugby Posted March 11 Share #4 Posted March 11 I use an “Arte di mano” half case from Sth Korea which are premium quality. can be bought via ebay.
pedaes Posted March 11 Share #5 Posted March 11 If you want the best you want Arte di Mano as dugby mentions, red stitching no problem https://www.artedimano.com/?redirect=no
lekitr Posted March 11 Share #6 Posted March 11 I use the Artisan & Artist LMB-M3, disable the wheel and the screen. Just like shooting with the M10-D. But no red stitching. Use it also on my M-A. Both black.

Do they make them without the camera door also?
wlaidlaw Posted March 11 Share #8 Posted March 11 +1 for the quality of Luigi cases. I used to think they were a bit over-priced until I saw the quality of materials and manufacture. I have a suede Luigi half-case for my M10-R, which was obviously not a fast selling item, as Luigi was selling it and the matching blue and red suede strap at half price. OTOH Mr. Lim's cases are very practical with their built in Arca compatible QR mount on the base. Really depends on whether you are looking for prime Italian leather quality and hand stitching or Korean practicality. Wilson
TomB_tx Posted March 11 Share #9 Posted March 11 I used an Artist and Artisan M10 case (sorry - just black) which was fine, but switched to an eBay case with battery flap as I frequently just take a few shots and remove the card to xfer to PC. For most of my cameras I've just used MrZhou cases as quality and price are to my liking. Couldn't "make a case" for the more expensive brands. Not wanting to get into a 'mine is bigger than yours' thread, but AdiM use leathers from all over the world, including English Bridle if you wish. https://www.macfilos.com/2022/05/16/arte-di-mano-half-case-for-leica-m11/ Edited March 11 by pedaes

I made no comment about the quality of A di M cases as I have never owned one but I have a number of Luigi's products so I can attest to their high quality. 7enderbender Posted March 11 Author Share #13 Posted March 11 1 hour ago, pedaes said: Yes. That is what I have on my M10. they have nice stuff on their website and a very comprehensive list of leathers. Couldn’t find a color option for stitching though. I guess best to just contact them about it?

If you are in US Leica Miami stock cases and you could go through them.
7enderbender Posted March 12 Author Share #15 Posted March 12 (edited) Ended up ordering an Oberwerth half case that one of the Leica stores still had in stock (no battery door). Was a good deal. Black with white stitching (which I may or may not dye depending on how it looks with my strap that has red ends). Robert Blanko Posted March 13 Share #16 Posted March 13 Angelo Pelle / Smaldore might be an option. Even if you will not find the exact combination you are looking for on his website, he would probably make the red stitching on demand. Seems to be quite flexible, as I learnt from a halfcase for my M.
