I've received my mint M-P Typ 240 with the latest firmware for it, 2.1.0.0, and wanted to ensure all of my Leicas have the recentmost firmware.  Alas the M9's was nowhere to be seen.  Googling of course leads back to this very forum, and a link to all M firmware:

What it shows is very interesting.  There's an enormous amount of M11 firmware updates compared to M10 or anything before it.  It shows that there's a lot of work, probably to eliminate the freezes.  The list is also unorganized, littered with instructions in various languages, and is totally unobvious for the main use -- show me, for each camera, its latest firmware!

It's so inconvenient that one of the posts on this forum shows a post on the Red Dot Forum listing the latest firmware for various Ms -- except that post is obsolete!

If anyone knows of a reliable resource linking the latest firmware for each Leica, from M9 on, it would be golden.

I did not count the M11 firmwares TBH (a little dozen?) but the M240 has got eleven of them if i'm not mistaken so the gap, if any, is rather tiny i suspect.

A lot of the latter day firmwares are new lenses...  Commendable for Leica.
