Thanks again Pete. Unfortunately there is not a picture that captures the heart of the event - good company and good chat, with Friends old and new! I post this image of low merit for two reasons. The smells coming out of the place were glorious and can be experienced by those with a 'scratch and sniff' screen, and FDS can be seen in the background.

Thanks for arranging yesterday Pete, it was great to together with like minded people. Unfortunately our day ended in disaster as Eileen had a fall in Regent Street (really upset the traffic), fortunately there was an ambulance which I managed to flag down and they took us to Euston University Hospital. They checked her over and everything was okay, except for having to have her head stitched. We managed to get a train just before midnight and finally got home at 1:30 this morning. Needless to say we're having a relaxing day today, except my M11-P is being delivered........... update; it's just arrived and I'm thrilled with it.

Will process some of my photo's from yesterday in the next day, or two.

Cheers, Tom

A pleasant get-together to end the year. Thanks for organising it, Farnz.

Take the Edition 60 😉

I did bring it, but not being into street photography I never got it out of my camera bag - particularly given that the sort of cold weather we were having yesterday makes my 80+ year old fingers more than a little clumsy and accidenr prone. I should have worn a warm parka rather than my M65 combat jacket...

Oh, Tom, I'm so sorry to hear that Eileen had a fall and hit her head!  I hope she recovers quickly and painlessly.  Please pass on my best wishes to Eileen and give her an extra big hug from me.

Thank you both for making the effort to come along yesterday, it was great to see and chat to you both as always and I'm glad that you enjoyed the day.

Pete.

Tom. very sorry to hear and please give my best wishes to Eileen and hope the wound heals quickly.

Have to ask - was it before or after the shopping?

Keith

Looking on the bright side, it eliminated any chance of shopping ..... turned out to be a cheap day for me. Cheers

Thank you to John (jcraf) for his help in planning the meetup and for finding us a decent restaurant at the appropriate moment despite the throng of people in Covent Garden (who'd clearly got word that Keith and Frank were in town!

Pete.

Tom, I didn't see your message about Eileen's accident at the time you originally posted it because I was busy writing my own message of thanks to Farnz.

I would guess that you have been temporarily promoted to the role of Chief Cook and Bottle Washer for the next few days while Eileen starts to recover, but hope that you will get at least some free time to try out your M11-P! In the meantime, please convey (yet again!) to Eileen all our hopes that she will make a good and swift recovery.

Many thanks to all for a pleasant afternoon and especially to Pete and John for organising.  Hoping that Eileen is fully recovered very soon. At least an ambulance was close by and she could be seen quickly at UCH.  Hoping, too, that Eileen regains full confidence!

Belated thanks Pete for arranging Monday’s meet up.  As always, it was a pleasure catching up with everyone.  @lanetomlane please send Eileen my very best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully it wont  be too long before she’s able to buy her new shoes. X
