Your admin needs a bit of help:

I'm writing a book about „AI & Photography“ (sorry, German only).

One chapter will be about labeling images as „non AI“ via the CAI standard C2PA.

The Leica M11-P is the first camera which signs their image with C2PA.

What I'm looking for is an image sample I can use for this chapter:

  • the image itself
  • how its certificate is shown – as unedited image as well as after edits in photoshop

Does one of our members has such an image for me?

  • Shot with Leica M11-P
  • Free of rights of thirds parties
  • C2PA data included
  • Permit to publish in a book (with credits of course)

Please contact me via PN!

Thanks
Andreas

Question - Why are my CC in Leica M 11-P not recognized in Verify?  I am working on a research article [In English] on Digital Images, AI-gen Images and Trust. We are currently testing the M 11-P and Content Credentials. I am shooting JPG images right now and I have Content Credentials "sign" turned on in camera, including my name in the Copyright and Produced by info. I shoot an image. I download the image to my MAC computer using Adobe Lightroom. If I drag and drop that original digital image into CC verify: https://contentcredentials.org/verify the result is an "unrecognized" file, with no CR icon. If I scroll down in the verify window, I can see my Produced by information from the camera and the Issuer as Leica AG. I can see Camera and Lens info and capture date. However there is a warning that the Content Credential Issuer couldn't be recognized. The file may not come from where it claims to be. ??? My expectations are that the CC I entered in my camera would make the file recognizable and trusted - earning the file a CR icon. Is anyone else experiencing this result? IF I export the image from Adobe Lightroom with CC option ON and drag & drop that file in verify, then I get a file with CR icon and Issuer as Adobe Inc, but the ingredients include my unidentified prior image from Leica AG. I also noticed that my Produced by info is now coming from the Adobe Lightroom app.

Could you publish a bit more here?

I tried to find out what

But I never found out.

I use Lightroom Classic and M11. But I still do not know what these credentials are 😟

I use Photomator/Pixelmator in Mac to edit.  If I move a DNG or SOOC camera created jpg from Mac Photos to the Content Credentials website the CC function works perfectly.    The moment I make any edits on non-content credential certified software, like what I use, the verification website no longer picks anything up.   But my information is in the file TIFF.

I originally was excited about content credentials because I thought my info would live in my images forever with some type of blockchain-based methodology.   The way it looks to me now, if I see my image being improperly used months or years out, I would have to go back to my original DNG/SOOC JPG to prove authentication.  Is this a correct understanding?

I had a similar observation... but then realized during some camera reset (firmware install?) my Content Credentials info in camera was deleted and set to off.   Once I typed my name back into my camera and turned on CC it worked again.   Is yours turned on?

Thanks Tseg. My CC on the Leica are ON and yet I get "unrecognized" when I identify my jpeg out of the camera.

I have uploaded a screenshot. Any ideas why this is happening? When I look at the digital file in the camera, I can see "cr" .

I guess your Leica is counterfeit?  /jk

I'm not sure why you are getting unrecognized?  Also, your listed device does not have the little Leica logo next to it.  Odd.  Reach out to Leica Customer Service.

Thanks for your input. I'll keep trying to figure this out. I'll update my firmware to 2.2.3 and see if that solves it.

Remember to reset the camera after the update.
