Herr Barnack Posted November 4, 2024 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Riu Palha is offering a workshop in Lisbon through Leica Store Miami so I took a look at his website. his B&W images are just so... clean. Looking at his work has made me want to plumb the depths of both B&W photography and my M10 Monochrom. I have been primarily a color shooter for a long time, but B&W has always had its hooks in me. I think its time for a return to black and white. https://www.ruipalha.com/Galleries/Recent-work?utm_source=Leica%20Store%20Miami%20Mailing%20List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Lisbon%20Workshop%20%28Dedicated%20Email%29%20%2801JBM21Y4HJ8G9E45CVGPFTRS1%29&_kx=FltklInLQBO73TB-6twiEUJ9V9joMvmnvR--Yi0XxyA.TLtVgC 7

johnbuckley Posted December 21, 2024 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2024 Rui is a wonderful photographer and an even more delightful person to shoot pictures with in Lisbon. He knows every inch of the city, and is incredibly generous in sharing it with people who attend his workshops, or as I was lucky enough to do twice, work with him one-on-one. He shoots with a Q2, and has a wonderful feel for how Lisbon lends itself to black and white — the twisting streets and tiled squares. I cannot recommend him highly enough — if you have the chance to be in his workshop, you’ll love it, learn a lot, and truly enjoy his company.
